For Happy Clinic® Denver Halo Laser Technology

What is the Halo™ fractional laser?

Halo is the first "hybrid fractional laser" making it the most advanced treatment combining two lasers in one. Effectively treating sun damage, pigment, texture, fine lines, and pores. Giving your skin a even luminous glow, famously called the "Halo Glow".  It is our favorite skin treatment at Happy Clinic Denver because it gives amazing results with minimum downtime (approximately 3 days).

How is the Halo™ different from other ablative laser treatments at Happy Clinic®?

The Sciton HALO uses a random pattern which prevents possible striping from overlapping during treatments. What you get is a much more uniform pattern looking more like a suntan than the traditional square stamping pattern.

What does the Halo™ laser feel like?

With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most patients experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.

What skin conditions can Halo™ treat?

Like the Sciton® dual laser resurfacing system, the Halo™ by Sciton® system is safe for use on most skin types (call us for details), tones, and ages and is fully adjustable, allowing it to be customized to each patient’s specific requirements. It incorporates “dynamic thermal optimization” technology that measures the temperature of the skin during treatment and automatically adjusts to ensure that the laser is always tuned to the patient’s specifications and even automatically compensates for changes in the scanning speed of the handpiece to guarantee even treatment. By utilizing this innovative technology, it allows our licensed estheticians and physicians to treat nearly any skin condition ranging from sun damage, elasticity, age spots, scars, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, vascular conditions, and even melasma.

How many  Halo™ treatments will I need?

What’s great about Halo is that you can choose how many treatments you want! Discuss with your clinician your needs and you can choose to have one or two more aggressive treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.

What will happen during the Halo™ treatment?

Thirty minutes to an hour before the treatment your clinician may place a topical anesthetic on your skin to reduce the sensation during the procedure. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. The clinician will treat each measured section by uniformly rolling the Halo handpiece over the skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete.

What results can I expect after my Halo™ treatment?

HALO is a complete skin revitalization treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, skin reflectivity and glow in addition to significant removal of discoloration.

When will I see results?

You will see initial results between two and five days after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.

How long will my results last?

Your Halo results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin. Each additional Halo treatment you get will only improve the results, giving you even better looking skin.

How much does a Halo™ treatment cost?

Every Halo treatment is customized for your skin, and your lifestyle. Depending on your needs, your provider may recommend a single treatment, or a series of treatments. In order to find out which is the best option for you, please visit a provider near you for a consultation.

How soon after my Halo™ treatment can I return back to normal activities?

For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours your skin will begin to peel, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing your new skin beneath.
